Job summary

TPAC is seeking a Security & Safety Manager to oversee security operations across all TPAC venues, ensuring safe experiences for guests, staff, performers, and crews during daily operations and events.

The role includes supervising security staff, coordinating with departments, emergency preparedness, incident documentation, and on-duty management at TPAC venues such as Andrew Jackson Hall, James K. Polk Theater, and Andrew Johnson Theater.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of security and crowd management experience, including managerial experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• TN unarmed security license.
• CPR/First Aid certification (highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership of security operation for the security and safety supervisors, staff and their day-to-day functions.
• Oversees event security for TPAC venues (Andrew Jackson Hall, James K. Polk Theater, Andrew Johnson Theater).
• Responsible for emergency preparedness and response.
• Supports department hiring, staff training, administrative needs, daily shift and event scheduling, and billing for TPAC’s internal security team and contractors.
• Investigates venue security and safety incidents with guests, TPAC departments, contractors and management as needed and concise documentation.
• Serves as the Manager on duty for assigned events and is familiar with TPAC event structure and emergency procedures.
