Job summary

St. Catherine's School in Richmond, VA, seeks a Theater Building Manager to oversee Endeavour Hall production spaces, safety, scheduling, and vendor rentals. This 12-month salaried role supports the Arts Director and COO.

The position requires extensive theater-building experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to equity and inclusion, with duties including training, budget oversight, and coordinating events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in theater/building management.
• Expertise in production-related health and safety best practices.
• Ability to manage a complex workload and prioritize tasks.
• Strong collaboration with faculty, staff, students and the community.
• Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage production activity and oversee technical aspects of events in Endeavour Hall.
• Oversee facility budgets for production equipment.
• Supervise technical systems during school productions and critical events.
• Coordinate staffing, training, and vendor rentals for events.
• Maintain venues, equipment, and safety protocols; manage changeovers.
• Schedule communications and approvals for designs and workflows.
