Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Theater-Based Flight/Ground Test Engineer to join the TBTT division at Redstone Arsenal (Huntsville, AL). The role focuses on integrating and executing THAAD test activities in lab and live environments, with up to 20% travel and a SECRET clearance requirement.

Responsibilities include system readiness, test planning, and leadership in test execution and briefing of senior leadership, ensuring secure handling of all mission-critical information.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance eligibility required.
• Experience in fast-paced, professional team environments with ability to adjust to short notice requirements, deadlines, changing schedules, and priorities.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Support system readiness, software validation, and personnel training in the lab.
• Monitor systems to identify deficiencies and propose fixes.
• Develop and present briefings for VIPs on THAAD/test capabilities.
• Manage end-to-end execution of flight tests and wargames.
• Design realistic wargame scenarios with clear objectives and logistics.
• Provide high-fidelity digital representations and robust battle plans for test events.
• Coordinate with THAAD Program Office on test scenarios and range logistics.
• Prepare executive-level briefings and participate in remote test range CVTCs.
• Lead CDI activities and contribute to test readiness documentation.
• Oversee development of test readiness reviews and evaluation of test events.
