Job summary

Astrion is seeking an Advanced Flight Test Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency’s Director of Test (DTFI) team at the Von Braun Complex, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. The role involves programmatic, technical, and analytical support for flight test activities and coordination with mission teams.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a related field or a BS with 5+ years of relevant experience, plus eligibility for a Secret clearance. Travel up to 25% is possible.

Qualifications

• MS in a related engineering field or BS with 5 years of related experience.
• 10 years of recent relevant experience.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain at least a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team to develop and maintain documentation and coordination for mission needs.
• Develop mission checklists and schedules with real-time updates for stakeholders.
• Facilitate planning meetings, working groups, and MDA technical reviews as directed.
• Support test planning, training, and execution of Tier 1/2/3 test environments per CONOPS.
• Perform programmatic reviews pre- and post-events and capture lessons learned.
