Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject and level, and has completed at least one year of student teaching or an approved internship. Experience in theater instruction is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned.
• Teaching certification held in multiple areas is preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction for varied learning styles.
• Assess student learning with formal and informal methods.
• Plan and supervise teacher aide and volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
• Engage families through conferences.
• Participate in staff development and comply with district policies and learning standards.
