  • Provide general support to team members in production and technical theater.
  • Coordinate maintenance of auditorium equipment, lighting, audio systems, and inventory.
  • Support school events and performances that reflect excellence and artistry.
  • Communicate with parents and maintain positive relationships within the school community.
  • Facilitate external use of auditorium facilities.

Job description

Saint Agnes School seeks a talented and dedicated Part-Time Theater Coordinator to join our school community. Rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition and animated by the sacramental life, Saint Agnes forms students through a rich integration of faith and reason. The Theater Coordinator contributes to this mission by managing the school's auditorium facilities and assisting with dramatic productions, supporting directors in the cultivation of students’ artistic talents, character formation, and appreciation for beauty through theatrical arts. Expected commitment is 500-600 hours annually.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, skilled production manager who values both excellence and joy in performance. He or she seeks to collaborate with others to develop in students an appreciation for theater within a liberal arts education.

Position Overview

The Theater Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and scheduling of the School’s Auditorium while also serving in a supporting role for the school's Fall Play and Spring Musical. The role includes overseeing facility use, assisting with production logistics, and supporting staff in the production of theater performances that reflect both technical proficiency and artistic expression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the scheduling, technical needs, and facility usage of the Helen Houle Auditorium
  • Assist with the planning, logistics, and execution of the Fall Play and Spring Musical as needed
  • Collaborate closely with Directors in the recruitment of a creative / production team for each show (e.g. Stage Manager, Designers/Technicians, etc.)
  • Provide general support to team members in theatrical production, stage management, and technical theater
  • Coordinate maintenance of auditorium, including equipment, lighting, audio systems, and stage inventory
  • Support theatrical performances and school events (e.g. virtue assemblies) that demonstrate excellence and artistry
  • Collaborate with faculty, directors, and staff to support the school’s academic and fine arts programs
  • Communicate effectively with parents and maintain strong relationships within the school community
  • Facilitate the use of the Auditorium facilities by external organizations
