Job summary

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) is seeking a part-time seasonal Bartender to serve patrons and staff during performances and events at Strand Theatre and Toni Rembe Theater in San Francisco.

You will handle beverage service, stock and maintain a clean bar, manage a per-shift bank, and help create a warm, inclusive guest experience while upholding A.C.T.'s values. Shift expectations include evenings and weekends; training in safety and de-escalation is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in concessions service environments.
• Experience working in a theater or live events venue is preferred.
• Training in Food handling, Alcohol Management, Event Safety, First Aid, CPR and AED knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sell beverages and snacks during pre-performance and intermission times, and at events.
• Stock, set up and clean the bar by shift.
• Accurately manage a bank and complete per-shift reporting.
• Communicate inventory and usage per shift clearly.
• Provide guests with warm, efficient, and inclusive experiences.
• Resolve patron issues using solid de-escalation practices with warmth and care.
