Job summary

The Fairfax Cinema is seeking a part-time Assistant Manager who will support the General Manager in overseeing daily theater operations, guest services, and facility management.

You will coach and develop staff, ensure outstanding guest experiences, manage safety protocols, and assist with scheduling, cash handling, and inventory during peak shows.

Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to cover busy periods and special events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; some college coursework preferred.
• 1 year customer service experience.
• 1 year employee supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of guest services, facility management and staff coaching.
• Supervise Concession, Box Office, Kitchen and Usher duties as needed; ensure service quality.
• Recruit, train, develop and assess performance of floor staff regularly.
• Support daily goals, tasks and assignments; ensure accuracy in cash handling and inventory.
• Address guest questions, resolve complaints courteously and professionally.
• Maintain safety and security; identify and address hazards and issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
