Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort seeks Lookout Service Staff Level I (Age 16+) to greet guests, explain specials, and assist with orders. Positions are full-time or part-time, seasonal, with variable AM/PM shifts and weekends/holidays required.

Role requires familiarity with POS systems, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid food handlers permit within 30 days of employment. Interviewing begins in late Oct/early Nov, training starts late Nov.

Qualifications

  • GED or high school diploma required.
  • Six months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to use point-of-sale system.
  • Must obtain a valid food handler permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Regularly stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and explain specials and promotions.
  • Know menu items to educate guests and make recommendations.
  • Assist guests with inquiries promptly.
  • Deliver beverages and food to guests and bus tables.
  • Input orders into the POS and communicate with kitchen staff.
  • Maintain safety and health code standards in handling food and beverages.

Job Title: The Lookout Service Staff Level I (Age 16+)

Rate of Pay: $13.00/hr + Tips

Shift: Full-Time or Part-Time, Seasonal Positions

Variable AM/PM shifts Sunday through Saturday

Weekends and holidays required

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Interviewing begins late October/early November.
Training begins late November

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or promotions for guest awareness.
  • Knowledge of menu items and ingredients to educate guests and make recommendation.
  • Assist guests with inquiries in a timely manner
  • Develop guest relations through personalized experience
  • Take phone orders ensuring accuracy and timeliness of delivery or pick up.
  • Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
  • Handle money in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safety measures and health code standards for food and beverage handling are upheld.
  • Consistently provides quality beverages for all guests.
  • Transport trays/plates throughout the work space which may weigh up to 40 pounds.
  • Deliver food and beverage items to guests.
  • Remain up-to-date on Hotel current events and the hours of operation of all food and beverage outlets.
  • Perform opening & closing side work duties on a daily basis.
  • Bus tables and ensure tables are reset in a timely manner and to Sundance standard.
  • Complete required paperwork including bar transfers and dry stock deliveries.
  • Stock items in proper location.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to use point-of-sale system.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and lift/move up to 20 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds)
  • .Level I: Must be 16 years of age or older
