Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a Mountain Camp Café Clerk II for part-time, seasonal positions. The role involves providing friendly and professional service of food and beverages at the Mountain Camp Café.

Candidates are expected to uphold safety and quality standards, demonstrate menu knowledge, and assist guests with a positive experience. This position includes variable shifts and requires working weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Must perform all essential duties competently.
  • Minimum of six months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Execute food and beverage service to guests ensuring all Sundance standards are met.
  • Ensure safety measures and health code standards for food and beverage handling are upheld.
  • Accurately handle money in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate complete knowledge of menu items and ingredients.
  • Input the order into the Point of Sale computer.
  • Transport trays/plates throughout the work space.
  • Perform opening & closing side work duties.
  • Remain up-to-date on Resort's current events and hours of operation.
  • Develop and maintain guest relations.
  • Complete required paperwork including bar transfers and deliveries.
  • Execute responsible service of alcoholic beverages.

Job Title: Mountain Camp Café Clerk II

Rate of Pay: $14.00/hr + Tips

Shift: Part-Time, Seasonal Positions

Variable shifts times Sunday through Saturday

3-5 days per week, December – April

Weekends and holidays required

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Interviewing begins late October/early November.
Training begins late November

SUMMARY

Responsible for creating an exceptional Sundance experience by providing consistent, friendly, professional, and timely service of food and beverages at the Mountain Camp Cafe.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute food and beverage service to guests ensuring all Sundance standards for quality, recipes, measurements, preparation, and presentation are met.
  • Ensure safety measures and health code standards for food and beverage handling are upheld.
  • Accurately handle money in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate complete knowledge of menu items and ingredients to educate guests and make recommendations.
  • Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
  • Transport trays/plates throughout the work space which may weigh up to 40 pounds.
  • Perform opening & closing side work duties on a daily basis.
  • Remain up to date on Resorts current events and the hours of operation of food and beverage outlets.
  • Develop, lead, maintain, and enhance guest relations through personalized experience and unscripted guest interactions.
  • Seek out ways to provide additional assistance and service to all guests, co-workers and management.
  • Complete required paperwork including bar transfers and dry stock deliveries.
  • Serve hot beverages hot and cold beverages cold.
  • Remain up-to-date on Hotel current events and the hours of operation of all food and beverage outlets.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of all applicable laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages in Utah. (As dictated by Beverage Department and State and local laws).
  • Exhibit responsible service of alcoholic beverages in accordance to state laws, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of beverages (i.e. beers, wines, liquors, etc.) with ability to communicate with guests and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must perform all essential duties competently.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
