Job summary

The Langham Boston is seeking a courteous Food & Beverage team member to join The Fed Restaurant. You will deliver high standards of guest service, assist servers, and support kitchen operations in a busy luxury hotel environment.

Ideal candidates will have prior hospitality experience, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to work PM shifts. This on-site role emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude in a premium hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication with guests and staff.
• Make minor decisions and task sequencing.
• Previous experience in a similar hospitality environment.
• Demonstrate teamwork and positive attitude.
• Stand/walk, lift up to 30 pounds, flexible schedule.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• PM shifts availability and variable schedule.

Responsibilities

• Serve food per established procedures in a timely, friendly manner.
• Stock station with glassware, flatware, china, and napkins.
• Greet guests and refill waters.
• Clear dirty dishes/glasses from table after each course.
• Reset tables per established procedures.
• Assist kitchen in setting up and breaking down service.
• Provide maximum guest service while maintaining Langham standards.
• Report guest comments to a manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and work area.
• Complete assigned daily side work.

Key Responsibilities

• Serves food per established procedures in a timely, efficient and friendly manner
• Stock station including: glassware, flatware, china and napkins
• Greet guests, refill waters
• Clear dirty dished/glasses from table after each course.
• Reset tables as necessary per established procedures
• Brew Iced Tea, Coffee, replenish bottled waters
• Assist the kitchen in setting and breaking down service
• Provide maximum levels of guest service while maintaining Langham Hotel standards
• Assist servers in polishing glassware
• Respond to guests requests appropriately, report comments to manager
• Provide maximum levels of guest service while maintaining Langham Hotel standards
• Report duty as scheduled by manager according to operating hours with flexibility
• Maintains cleanliness of each table in each section of the restaurant
• Bring dirty linen to laundry and pick up clean linen
• Assist server as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of work area
• Complete assigned daily side work
• Additional duties not mentioned above may also be requested by supervisor

Qualifications

• Use verbal communication effectively to perform work i.e. speaking with guests, understanding guests, coworkers
• Make minor decisions requiring logical judgment, i.e. task sequencing
• Must have related previous experience in similar environment
• Demonstrate team playing skills at all times
• Have positive attitude and set example among colleagues
• Stand; reach; grasp; lift/carry up to 30 pounds; walk; kneel; squat/bend; push/pull
• React well and remain in control when working with high volume under pressure.
• Attend monthly department meeting and provided trainings.
• Must have be fully flexible to work variable schedule hours and days; PM shifts.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Pay Range

• $30.77 - $31.07 per hour plus gratuity
