Job summary

the D Casino & Hotel is seeking a Paint Technician to perform property-wide painting duties, texture application, and drywall prep in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will work with hand and power tools, complete work orders, and ensure quality customer service.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, are 21+, and possess at least 1 year of hotel/casino painting experience, with strong attention to detail and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old
• One (1) year experience, preferably in a Hotel/Casino environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain or apply various types of paint and paint related duties
• Tape and mud drywall surfaces
• Prep walls for paint and/or wallpaper
• Wallpaper repairs
• Furniture refinishing
• Work daily with personal hand tools and company owned power tools
• Complete work orders as assigned through computer-based program in a timely manner
• Effectively communicate details of work orders and follow up through to completion
• Notify Supervisors of parts and inventory needs
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Follow lawful direction from Upper Management
• Understand and follow work and safety rules and procedures
• Interact well with others and be a positive influence on Team Member morale
• Responsible for adhering to all company and departmental policies and standards

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform paint related duties property wide and have working knowledge of, but not limited to, paint, apply all forms of texture, prepare areas for painting, basic stucco and efface repairs, wallpaper repairs as needed.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Must be 21+ years old
• One (1) year experience, preferably in a Hotel/Casino environment

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
• Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment
• Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping.
• These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area.Constant contact with fellow team members
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
