Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant assists the Physical Therapist by delivering rehabilitative therapy, following evaluations and care plans, to promote recovery, functional improvement, and return to prior levels of activity when possible. Documentation must include objective measures and justification for ongoing or discontinued services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administration, medical, nursing, and other departments, including patients and families, to plan therapy services
• Assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized patient care plans
• Explain procedures to patients and prepare necessary equipment, reassuring patients before and during therapy
• Determine appropriate equipment use, application, and positioning; make adjustments as needed
• Modify therapy programs based on patient progress and evaluations
• Ensure therapy notes are detailed, accurate, and compliant with company policies

Qualifications

Valid and active PTA license in Colorado.

Experience in skilled nursing preferred but not required.

Active CPR/BLS certification.

Knowledge of Net Health Optima is a plus.
