Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant assists the Physical Therapist by providing rehabilitative therapy to patients, following evaluation and plan of care, and adhering to all regulatory and clinical standards. Responsibilities include aiding recovery, improving function, and facilitating return to prior activity levels. Clinical documentation must objectively measure and justify ongoing or discontinued services.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, and administrative staff, as well as patients and families, to plan therapy services
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating patient care plans
  • Explain procedures to patients and prepare necessary equipment, reassuring patients throughout
  • Select and adjust equipment and body positioning during therapy
  • Modify therapy programs based on patient progress
  • Ensure therapy notes are informative, descriptive, and compliant with company policies

Must hold a valid/active PTA license in Colorado. Experience in skilled nursing is preferred but not required. Active CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
