Job summary

Zeus Industrial Products in Gaston, SC seeks an Engineering/Technician level TFE Operator to load, run, and monitor an extrusion line, install tooling, and ensure product quality with minimal downtime.

The role requires capable handling of manual tasks, reading and following orders, and documentation of processes. Candidates must meet WorkKeys requirements and perform visual quality inspections. This is a full-time on-site position at Zeus’s Gaston facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and adapt to different situations.
• Must meet WorkKeys/WIN requirements (Reading Level 3; Math Level 4).
• Ability to perform inspection functions such as visual checks for cosmetic defects and color differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Install proper tooling, load, run and monitor extruder with minimum downtime.
• Make pre-forms out of resin as specified on order card.
• Measure and maintain correct wall thickness of tubing.
• Operator only runs one machine.
• Keep tooling and machines in good working condition.
• Polish and straighten tooling on lathe.
• Keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain good communications within the department.
