Job summary

Zeus Industrial Products, based in Orangeburg, SC, seeks a Tuber Operator to manage up to three extrusion machines, troubleshoot, document raw materials, and ensure material quality for production lines.

The role requires installing tooling, producing resin preforms, controlling tubing wall thickness, and maintaining safe, orderly work areas while meeting production targets with a collaborative team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and adapt to different situations.
• Lift up to 30 lbs.; push/pull approximately 11 lbs.; walk up and down stairs.
• Ability to perform inspection functions such as visual inspection to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals; read and write legibly.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Install proper tooling, load, run and monitor tuber extruder with minimum downtime.
• Make preforms out of resin as specified on order card.
• Measure and maintain correct wall thickness of tubing being sent to catching area.
• Run 2-3 machines at any given time.
• Keep tooling and machines in good working condition.
• Polish and straighten tooling on lathe.
• Keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain good communications within the department.
