Job summary

Engineered Floors is seeking a Twister Operator to load raw fiber, monitor the twisting machine, and ensure product quality. You will move yarn, verify labels, doff packages, refill yarn, and keep work areas clean. The role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift 12–20 lb packages.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and overtime may be required. Candidates must follow all safety and quality guidelines and be able to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Follow safety, plant and quality guidelines.
• Stand for long periods.
• Able to pass color vision test if needed.

Responsibilities

• Supply the twisting machine with raw fiber.
• Patrol, service, and monitor the twisting machine and its processes.
• Remove twisted product and place on buggies or boxes as instructed.
• Acquire Raw Yarn Buggy from the machine’s bullpen.
• Verify the case label with the spec sheet for that machine.
• Doff the TNH packages according to the doff schedule posted on each machine.
• Refill the bucket with Raw Yarn from the Raw Yarn Buggy.
• Replace empty yarn tubes with replacement packages of yarn.
• Tag any position that needs repair.
• Keep every position running at all times unless you are working on it.
• Remove TNH yarn from the conveyor and place on a buggy or box as instructed.
• Clean your assignment and work area toward the end of each shift.
