Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Ogden, UT is seeking a Counter-Sorter to sort and record incoming soiled textiles from customers, identify damaged items, and transfer textiles to other departments. You will report to the Production Manager and work in a team environment.

You will perform physical tasks, stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and follow PPE policies in an industrial laundry setting with varying temperatures and lint exposure. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform standing and walking for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to count textiles manually or electronically for accurate transfer to sorting systems.
• Follow PPE policies and wear assigned PPE in the production area.

Responsibilities

• Open bags of soiled textiles and sort by type, size and color.
• Count textiles and transfer into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record in sorting systems.
• Comply with efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Work in a team environment and support production flow.
