Job summary

Unifi is hiring a Management Trainee for the Yadkinville, NC site, starting May 2027. The role spans plant processes from textile manufacturing to engineering, with a focus on improving existing products, processes, and technology in the POY Spinning Extrusion facility.

You will develop expertise in filament fiber production, analyze data, and implement improvements while collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and downstream teams to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical science with focus on mechanical/chemical/textile engineering or related fields.
• Recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate as of May 2027; internship or co-op is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop intimate knowledge of filament fiber production processes, equipment and systems.
• Provide technical solutions for performance, cost, or quality improvements in product processes.
• Monitor product performance metrics and ensure process capabilities are met; provide guidance on out-of-control conditions.
• Support Manufacturing and Quality Assurance, and downstream processes; resolve technical issues.
• Maintain relationships with production and technical staff for opportunities for improvement.
• Transition new product developments into commercial processes for textile applications.
