Job summary

Target's Cloud Island team seeks a Textile Graphic Designer to own original graphics, prints and patterns for the baby brand. You will translate trends into exclusive artwork that aligns with the brand vision and assortment strategy, using both hand-rendered and digital methods.

In collaboration with Merchandising and Sourcing, you will guide concepts from idea through execution, research trends, present seasonal concepts, and help shape the textile assortment for the baby business.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Textile Design, Fine Art, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of textile design experience, including experience within the baby category.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant design tools.
• Strong understanding of color, print, pattern, and assortment development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and partner with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of original graphics, prints, and patterns that support the brand vision and assortment strategy for the baby business.
• Guide artwork from concept through execution, ensuring designs are creatively compelling and commercially viable.
• Research trends, analyze the competitive landscape, and draw inspiration from a variety of sources.
• Contribute to and present seasonal trend concepts, artwork direction, and textile assortment to Design and Merchandising partners.
• Work closely with Merchandising and Sourcing partners to shape product assortments that align with brand strategy and goals.
