Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in textile, print, pattern or fashion design.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant design field.
• Portfolio showing textile, surface pattern, infant/nursery or soft-home work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience designing for mass retail or department stores is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop original artwork and patterns for infant blankets, bedding, throws, and nursery products.
• Create seamless repeats, placement prints, character artwork, and coordinating patterns.
• Develop seasonal and everyday collections based on market and retail trends.
• Create colorways, CADs, and product mockups for internal review and buyer presentations.
• Translate direction into commercially viable products and prepare production-ready artwork.
• Make revisions to artwork, color, scale, and layout based on feedback.
• Research trends in baby, nursery, home textiles, color, print, and pattern.
• Collaborate with product development, sourcing, sales, and merchandising teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience in textile design, surface pattern design, graphic design, or soft-home product development, with a strong understanding of baby and nursery trends, color, print, and commercial retail design. • Develop original artwork and patterns for infant blankets, bedding, throws, and related nursery products
• Create seamless repeats, placement prints, character artwork, and coordinating patterns
• Develop seasonal and everyday collections based on current market and retail trends
• Create colorways, CADs, and product mockups for internal review and buyer presentations
• Translate creative direction and inspiration into commercially viable products
• Prepare production-ready artwork and technical files for factories
• Make revisions to artwork, color, scale, and layout based on internal, buyer, and factory feedback
• Research trends in baby, nursery, home textiles, color, print, and pattern
• Work closely with product development, sourcing, sales, and merchandising teams
• Perform related duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES

• Experience designing for mass retail, department stores, off-price, specialty retail, or private-label programs is a plus
• Experience preparing artwork for textile production is a plus
• Knowledge of infant and nursery market trends is a plus
• Experience communicating with overseas factories or product development teams
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant work in baby, infant, nursery, bedding, blankets, soft home, or children's products
• Strong understanding of pattern repeats, color, print, and textile applications
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Ability to create professional CADs and presentation-ready product mockups
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and revisions
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial retail needs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in textile, print, pattern, or fashion design.
