Job summary

MillerKnoll seeks a textile product developer to research and advance new materials across Maharam, Knoll Textiles, and Edelman Leather. You will collaborate across design, production, and QA to ensure technical excellence from concept through production.

You will identify new component parts, draft weave structures, and advise designers on manufacturing feasibility while staying compliant with US and European standards. Occasional travel to tradeshows is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with textile technology, fabric construction, yarns, and finishes.
  • Ability to draft weave constructions and calculate picks per inch.
  • Familiarity with US/EU testing standards (ISO and CT textiles).
  • Strong communication, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Research new materials and stay apprised of new manufacturing methods.
  • Identify new components for products and negotiate pricing with resources.
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Management, QA, and Resource Management.
  • Travel to tradeshows and resources as needed.
