Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in San Antonio seeks a Textile Control Manager to organize and supervise textile control functions at the branch, reporting to the General Manager.

You will lead the textile control staff, oversee inventory and budget, train new hires, and collaborate with production, sales and service management to ensure standards and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of business management experience in a production environment.
• Strong supervisory and management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication in English; strong time management and teamwork.

• Consulting with the General Manager, is responsible for creating, and adherence to, a textile budget.
• Follow written and verbal instructions, attend meetings and perform other tasks as directed by supervision.

Job Summary

Essential Functions

• - Monitors and oversees textile usage, inventory and consignment inventory to improve production and delivery efficiency, maintain quality, control costs, and secure inventory assets of the branch.
• - Leads, trains, and supervises the textile control staff.
• - Responsible for new hire training and conducting regular, ongoing training.
• - Consults with production, sales and service management.
• - Responsible for execution of textile control policies and procedures.
• - Responsible for setting, monitoring, and ensuring that standards are met.
• - Consulting with the General Manager, is responsible for creating, and adherence to, a textile budget.
• - Follow written and verbal instructions, attend meetings and perform other tasks as directed by supervision.

Additional Functions

• - May work with and support other branch personnel as required by supervision.

Qualifications

• - Have a minimum of two years of business management experience in a production environment with strong supervisory and management skills.
• - Good organizational skills.
• - Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
• - Recognize colors, sizes and types of product. Count, add and subtract accurately.
• - Good verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to comprehend and follow direction, as well as good time management skills and being a team player.

Education

• - High School graduation or similar experience.

Typical Physical Activity

• - Physical Demands/Requirements consist of standing, sitting, walking, stooping, driving a forklift, grasping, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, moving loaded carts weighing up to 500 lbs., reading, speaking, hearing, and lifting up to 60 lbs.

Typical Environmental Conditions

• - Production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility which includes variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint and dust.

Travel Requirements

• - Occasionally, to visit customers or possibly to attend training meetings.
