Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. seeks Transportation Engineering Interns for Spring 2027 in Texas (Dallas or Houston). The full-time internship involves real-world project involvement within an environment that supports professional growth.

Work onsite and collaborate with licensed engineers on traffic, roadway, bridges, and planning projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience using Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer while supporting teams across client projects.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status.
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree or civil-adjacent degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional multitasking and time management skills.
• Be ready and open to learning!
• Be located in Texas near an office or willing to relocate at own expense (2 days/week in office).

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the industry leading Transportation team.
• Gain real-world experience working on actual projects alongside Licensed Engineers that are experts in their fields.
• Assist on a variety of projects doing such things as analysis, design, plan production and cost estimation.
• Use industry leading applications such as Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer, alongside discipline specific programs that aid in design.
• Work as a member of a team that coordinates with other internal teams and external subconsultants and clients.
• Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.
