Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Several years of experience in an undergraduate admissions office
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong written and oral communication; public-speaking experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
• Willingness to travel extensively within Texas and to visit campus
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Strong event-planning experience and service to students/parents
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends; ability to stand, walk and lift up to 40 pounds

Responsibilities

• Recruit undergraduate students in Texas and review applications for other regions
• Represent Virginia Tech at college fairs, high-school visits, and counselor events
• Coordinate off-campus recruitment programs and yield activities
• Travel extensively within Texas and to Blacksburg for training and campus programs
• Maintain CRM records and collaborate with alumni, counselors, and parent audiences
