Job summary

Foursquare ITP in Texas seeks a Project Manager / Senior Transportation Planner to launch and grow our Texas presence, leading transportation projects and building a local team for the state.

As Texas Practice Lead, you will shape strategy, mentor staff, and represent the firm at events while delivering innovative mobility planning from transit to active transportation. Texas relocation preferred.

Qualifications

• 10–20+ years of experience in transportation planning and staff management.
• Experience leading high-quality projects in transit planning, BRT, multimodal access, or active transportation.
• Proven success in business development and client relationships, ideally with Texas-based agencies/partners.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation planning, urban planning, or related field.
• Residence within commuting distance to Austin or Houston.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand Foursquare ITP’s presence across Texas by cultivating relationships and leading business development.
• Lead projects in sustainable mobility, including transit service planning, BRT and corridor planning, microtransit, and multimodal strategies.
• Manage and mentor staff as the practice grows.
• Represent Foursquare ITP at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
