Job summary

SpaceX in McGregor, Texas, is seeking a Mechanical Specialist, Construction, to design, build and activate infrastructure for diverse projects on the McGregor Campus. You will lead tasks from start to finish, coordinating with engineers and trades to deliver facilities improvements and large capital projects.

The role requires 5+ years in HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems, plus a high school diploma and preferred HVAC certification. Extended hours and travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of professional experience working with HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems.
• Degree or certificate in HVAC technology from an accredited technical school or college.
• Knowledge of building management and commercial/industrial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and provide liaison for construction projects and maintenance operations to meet standards while delivering services, materials, and craftsmanship.
• Interact with tradesmen, contractors, and building officials to coordinate maintenance, repair, and installation of facilities support equipment.
• Direct system repairs of HVAC equipment, electrical systems, fire protection, water and plumbing infrastructure.
• Direct construction projects to ensure safe completion with minimal interruption to operations.
• Assist engineering with budgetary trades, drawings, and design to meet design intent and schedule.
• Keep accurate records of daily logs, progress reports, and financial reports.
• Willing to support other projects as needed.
