Job summary

Metric Engineering, Inc. seeks a Project Manager for our Local Infrastructure team in the San Antonio/Austin, TX office. The role targets 8+ years in local infrastructure, public works, or site development, with ownership of projects, team leadership, and Texas market growth.

You will coordinate with clients and internal teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, and execution plans, and mentor engineers and CAD staff while expanding Metric’s presence across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas is required.
• 8+ years of experience in public works, utilities, or site development.
• Strong project management, administration, and supervision experience.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple offices.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D or Open Roads Designer proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pursue and position infrastructure projects across the region.
• Negotiate scope and fees for projects.
• Engage with and supervise the design team’s activities and workload.
• Manage multiple projects and develop opportunities with priority clients.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and execution plans for infrastructure projects.
• Lead project meetings, client presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Support proposal development, RFQs, and business development initiatives.
• Supervise engineers, EITs, and CAD designers.
• Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and career development support.
• Apply advanced technical expertise to ensure standards and practices are met.
• Manage design production using relevant software as part of project execution.
