Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Austin, Texas, seeks a Highway Engineering Leader to build and manage a highway design group in the Texas market, mentor staff, and guide the company’s expansion. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in transportation project design, a Texas PE, and strong TXDOT knowledge; travel to project sites and client meetings is expected. This role opens to multiple Texas locations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in designing transportation projects.
• P.E. license registered in Texas (Texas PE).
• Strong knowledge of TXDOT policies and procedures preferred.
• Track record of developing and growing engineering groups and establishing relationships.
• Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead highway design team within Texas market.
• Build and maintain client relationships and pursue proposals.
• Guide growth and expansion of the roadway design practice.
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of transportation projects.
