Job summary

USA Cares, Inc. seeks a Texas Director to develop donor relationships, secure statewide funding, and support government relations for veterans and their families. The role advances campaigns, engages corporate partners, and represents the organization at events across the state.

You will work with the development team, manage donor records, and travel throughout Texas to cultivate opportunities and promote USA Cares' mission and services.

• Ability to effectively communicate with donors, corporate partners, community leaders, elected officials, and other stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and general computer applications.
• Passion for the mission of USA Cares and commitment to supporting service members, veterans, and their families.
• Ability to travel throughout Texas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to secure donations throughout Texas.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, corporate partners, and veteran-serving organizations.
• Identify prospective donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities at the state level.
• Conduct donor outreach, meetings, presentations, networking, and community engagement.
• Develop professional relationships with elected officials and government leaders in Texas.
• Educate leaders and partners about USA Cares programs and needs of veterans and families.
• Represent USA Cares at fundraising events and government-relations activities.
• Collaborate with the Director of Development and national team to support fundraising goals.
• Work with marketing to support campaigns and donor communications.
• Maintain donor records in Salesforce.
• Provide regular fundraising and government-relations updates to leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of fundraising trends and Texas initiatives.
• Participate in training and professional development.
• Travel throughout Texas and to USA Cares HQ as needed.
