Job summary

Advanced Energy United is a national association representing businesses in advanced energy and transportation solutions. The Texas Director will lead legislative and political engagement in Texas, build relationships with lawmakers, and drive a statewide strategy to expand markets for advanced energy.

The role reports to the Central Region Managing Director and requires occasional travel up to 30% to meet with staff, members, coalitions, and public officials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in a relevant field.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills.
• Entrepreneurial approach, flexible attitude, and ability to operate independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of strategies to accelerate Texas' clean energy transition.
• Collaborate with member companies to develop policy positions and reach consensus.
• Manage lobbyist and consultant relationships on the ground and in communications strategies.
• Organize opportunities for direct decision-maker engagement including lobby days and education sessions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with coalition partners and allies in support of clean energy goals.
• Create reports, presentations, and other materials for education and advocacy efforts.
