Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Texas-licensed attorney to support civil litigation and creditors' rights for a Texas-licensed practice in Austin. The role concentrates on court appearances, case management, and settlement negotiations, with travel across the state and strong team support.

The attorney will spend about four days weekly in court, handling hearings and related proceedings while collaborating with experienced legal and administrative staff to achieve effective resolutions.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license to practice law.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and courtroom practices.
• Ability to independently handle court appearances and manage multiple hearings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting matters in court.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly within an assigned territory for court proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court hearings and legal proceedings across an assigned Texas territory, averaging four days per week in court.
• Independently handle courtroom appearances, present case information, and advocate for clients in civil litigation and collection-related matters.
• Review and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other necessary legal documentation.
• Evaluate case details and determine appropriate strategies for litigation and resolution.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, self-represented litigants, and other involved parties.
• Oversee assigned cases and ensure matters progress efficiently through the litigation process.
• Collaborate with clients, internal legal staff, and opposing counsel regarding case status and resolution.
• Maintain accurate case records, meet court deadlines, and ensure compliance with applicable legal procedures.
