Job Juncture in Austin, TX is assisting a Texas-licensed attorney in a creditors' rights and litigation role. The position focuses on courtroom appearances and case resolution with no billable hour requirements. Competitive base salary with potential for settlements and travel reimbursement for court duties.

The attorney will manage hearings, draft pleadings, negotiate settlements, and work alongside an experienced legal and administrative team to advance matters efficiently.

Formación

• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and courtroom practices.
• Ability to independently handle court appearances and manage multiple hearings.
• Demonstrated skills in case evaluation, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting matters in court.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, including managing a high-volume caseload.
• Willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory for court proceedings.

Responsabilidades

• Represent clients in court hearings and legal proceedings throughout an assigned Texas territory, averaging approximately four days per week in court.
• Independently handle courtroom appearances, present case information, and advocate for clients in civil litigation and collection-related matters.
• Review and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other necessary legal documentation.
• Evaluate case details and determine appropriate strategies for litigation and resolution.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, self-represented litigants, and other involved parties.
• Oversee assigned cases and ensure matters progress efficiently through the litigation process.
• Collaborate with clients, internal legal staff, and opposing counsel regarding case status and resolution.
• Maintain accurate case records, meet court deadlines, and ensure compliance with applicable legal procedures.
