Essenti Talent is assisting an established Texas law firm in its search for a Texas-licensed Attorney to support civil litigation and creditors' rights practice. The role emphasizes courtroom appearances, hearings, and case management within an assigned territory.

The attorney will dedicate about four days per week to court appearances, supported by a seasoned legal and administrative team, with travel reimbursements for required proceedings. Strong negotiation and client service are essential.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and courtroom practices.
• Ability to independently handle court appearances and multiple hearings.
• Demonstrated skills in case evaluation, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting matters in court.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, including managing a high-volume caseload.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology or case management systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with legal and administrative colleagues.
• Sound legal judgment, strong analytical abilities, and attention to detail.

• Willingness and ability to travel regularly within an assigned territory for court proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings throughout an assigned Texas territory, averaging approximately four days per week in court.
• Independently handle courtroom appearances, present case information, and advocate for clients in civil litigation and collection-related matters.
• Review and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other necessary legal documentation.
• Evaluate case details and determine appropriate strategies for litigation and resolution.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, self-represented litigants, and other involved parties.
• Oversee assigned cases and ensure matters progress efficiently through the litigation process.
• Collaborate with clients, internal legal staff, and opposing counsel regarding case status and resolution.
• Maintain accurate case records, meet court deadlines, and ensure compliance with applicable legal procedures.
