Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is assisting a Texas-licensed attorney in supporting civil litigation and creditors' rights for a Texas law firm. The role centers on courtroom appearances, with about four days per week spent in hearings and court proceedings across an assigned territory.

You will work with an experienced legal and administrative team to manage cases, negotiate settlements, and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery while maintaining case records and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and courtroom practices.
• Ability to independently handle court appearances and manage multiple hearings.
• Demonstrated skills in case evaluation, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting matters in court.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, including managing a high-volume caseload.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology or case management systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with legal and administrative colleagues.
• Sound legal judgment, strong analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly within assigned territory for court proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court hearings and legal proceedings throughout an assigned Texas territory, averaging approximately four days per week in court.
• Independently handle courtroom appearances, present case information, and advocate for clients in civil litigation and collection-related matters.
• Review and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other necessary legal documentation.
• Evaluate case details and determine appropriate strategies for litigation and resolution.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, self-represented litigants, and other involved parties.
• Oversee assigned cases and ensure matters progress efficiently through the litigation process.
• Collaborate with clients, internal legal staff, and opposing counsel regarding case status and resolution.
• Maintain accurate case records, meet court deadlines, and ensure compliance with applicable legal procedures.
