The position requires Texas peace officer certification (or by hire date), a background check, and relevant law enforcement experience, including investigations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Minimum 4 years’ law enforcement experience including investigations.
• Texas peace officer certification required.
• Additional certifications may be required to be registered, certified, or licensed in a specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Develops investigative action plans for inspections, undercover operations, and surveillance.
• Inspects licensed premises and investigates violations of alcohol laws.
• Gathers intelligence and evidence to determine violations and charges.
• Conducts independent alcohol-related investigations and coordinates with local/state CID divisions.
• Prepares and files investigative reports and maintains case records.
• Assists in prosecution by collecting evidence and testifying in court.
