## Testing Services Specialist - Student Accessibility ResourcesApplylocations: Allendale, MI: Grand Rapids, MI (Pew Campus)time type: Part timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R104699The Testing Services Specialist supports the daily operations of the Testing Center by coordinating and administering secure testing services for students, faculty, and campus partners. This position serves as a key point of contact for exam requests, testing logistics, communication, and exam administration. The Specialist ensures exams are processed accurately, prepared appropriately, and administered in accordance with established testing procedures and academic integrity standards. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with direct student support in a fast-paced testing environment.**Compensation:**$20.00 per hour**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**### Testing Coordination & Administration* Review, process, and manage incoming exam requests submitted by students, faculty, and campus partners.* Verify exam details, testing requirements, accommodations, and deadlines to ensure accurate exam administration.* Coordinate with faculty and instructors to obtain exams, instructions, passwords, and other required testing materials.* Prepare exams and testing environments according to faculty instructions and Testing Center procedures.* Maintain accurate records related to testing appointments, completed exams, and exam materials.* Ensure confidentiality and security of testing materials and student information.### ### Student & Faculty Support* Serve as a primary point of contact for student and faculty inquiries related to testing services.* Respond to emails and requests in a timely, professional manner.* Provide clear instructions and support to students before, during, and after testing sessions.* Assist students with questions related to Testing Center procedures and expectations.* Communicate with faculty regarding exam status, completion, and any testing concerns.### ### Proctoring & Testing Integrity* Proctor exams in accordance with established Testing Center policies and procedures.* Monitor testing environments to promote academic integrity and a secure assessment experience.* Enforce testing policies consistently and professionally.* Document and report testing irregularities or concerns following established procedures.* Assist with both paper-based and computer-based testing processes.### ### Technology & Operations Support* Utilize testing-related technology and systems to support exam administration.* Monitor and assist with testing software and tools used for secure exam delivery and oversight.* Troubleshoot basic technology issues and escalate concerns when needed.* Assist with maintaining an organized, efficient, and welcoming testing environment.### ### General Responsibilities* Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with students, faculty, and sensitive academic materials.* Follow institutional policies, accessibility requirements, and Testing Center procedures.* Participate in training and ongoing development related to testing processes and technology.* Perform other duties as assigned.## ## Required Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent.* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.* Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.* Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.* Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software systems.## ## Preferred Qualifications* Experience working in a higher education, administrative, customer service, or office environment.* Experience with exam administration, proctoring, or student support services.* Experience using learning management systems, testing software, or classroom technology.* Experience working with confidential records or regulated processes.## ## Work EnvironmentThis position works in a student-facing testing environment and requires frequent interaction with students, faculty, and staff.
