The Testing Services Specialist is a fully competent professional contributor responsible for independently managing and coordinating assigned testing services and operational activities within Purdue Testing Services (PTS). Working under the general supervision of an Assistant Director of Testing Services, the Specialist manages day-to-day exam preparation and testing activities; analyzes testing information, approved accommodations, instructor directions, and operational requirements; and exercises professional judgment to identify and resolve testing, accommodation, technology, and logistical issues.
The Specialist independently manages competing priorities, moderately large complex projects, tight deadlines, and serves as a knowledgeable resource to students, instructors, Disability Resource Center staff, student employees, and campus partners by explaining and interpreting PTS policies, practices, procedures, and testing requirements to ensure alignment. The position evaluates, analyzes, and forecasts using available information related to student testing activities to prepare for testing administration needs, draws upon prior experience and knowledge of testing operations to determine and implement appropriate solutions, and recognizes circumstances requiring consultation with PTS leadership or other University resources. The Specialist contributes to the effectiveness of PTS operations by identifying, completing, and recommending minor enhancements to workflows, procedures, documentation, and systems; implementing approved changes within the position’s area of responsibility; and providing guidance and assistance to student employees regarding established testing practices. The position maintains confidentiality, exam security, and compliance with FERPA, University requirements, approved student accommodations, and applicable testing standards.
This position is based in Indianapolis and follows a four-day, 40-hour workweek (Monday–Thursday).

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $ 40,000 to $ 45,000. The final salary offer will be determined based on various factors, including internal equity, available budget, and relevant experience.
