Job summary

Debbie Z's & Demo ITA is seeking a detail-oriented QA Software Engineer to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of software products. You will design and maintain automated test frameworks, write test plans, and collaborate with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality software.

You will perform manual and exploratory testing, contribute to Agile ceremonies, and drive quality metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing automated test plans across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Ability to translate requirements into comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking defects to resolution.
• Proficiency in manual testing, exploratory testing, and UAT.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into test plans and cases.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution with actionable bug reports.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives within an Agile team.
• Monitor and analyze test results, providing quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and standards to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Advocate for quality throughout the SDLC.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate QA Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through rigorous testing practices, automation, and close collaboration with development and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Required Skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
• Familiarity with security testing practices and tools.
• Knowledge of mobile testing (iOS/Android).
• ISTQB or similar QA certification.
• Experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, fintech, aerospace, etc.).
