Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking an Assembly & Test Tech II - 2nd shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $24-$28.50 per hour.

The core hours are 3:00pm-11:30pm.

What You’ll Do

The Assembly & Test Technician is responsible for performing assembly and test processes on aerospace hardware. Development of hardware, creating functional test setups, working with various high-pressure gases, and initiating engineering collaboration to successfully deliver quality aerospace components and systems. Technicians are responsible for communicating and coordinating with the Production Supervisor regarding specific production needs (part availability, equipment, production status, and schedule updates) to ensure on-time delivery. Perform assembly and testing of production hardware within the confines of the systems and procedures and the certified operator system.

In This Function You Will

• Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met.
• Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status including job specific training/certifications and ERP system data entry in accordance with site guidelines.
• Possess knowledge/experience with assembly and test requirements. Ability to evaluate mechanical systems, use of common assembly tools/measuring equipment.
• Independently perform low and moderate complexity assembly and test operations following written instructions.
• Ability to perform low to moderate complexity product testing using test equipment while following written acceptance test documents.
• Understands product quality requirements and follows non-conforming material processes. Reports findings to team and generates non-conforming hardware documentation.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and able to troubleshoot low to moderate issues with minimal supervision.
• Basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications.

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of relevant manufacturing/ mechanical experience or Military experience
• Previous experience using various hand tools and measuring equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
