Eaton's IS AER FED division in Glenolden, PA is hiring a Tester - 1st Shift. The tester evaluates electro-mechanical products for ATP compliance and drawings, with core hours 7 am to 3:30 pm, M-F.

You will verify ATPs, use fixtures and equipment including oscilloscopes, LabVIEW, and test racks, and help troubleshoot failures while contributing to continuous improvement in safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2+ years in an electro-mechanical environment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and ATPs; accuracy in documentation.
  • U.S. work authorization; willing to work at Glenolden, PA location.

Responsibilities

  • Verify product compliance to ATPs and drawings; maintain ATP records.
  • Operate test fixtures and equipment: oscilloscopes, function generator, LabVIEW, test racks.
  • Troubleshoot failures, diagnose PCB issues down to component level.
  • Assemble electro-mechanical components from drawings; support engineering with test validation.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.

They work with PMO, as needed, for customer witness testIn this role, you will:Verify product compliance to Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) / drawings and maintain accurate ATP recordsUtilize test fixtures and test equipment including oscilloscopes, function generator, device programmer, mass spectrometer, vibration table, tenney chamber, hot oil room, etc. to perform ATP.Troubleshoot and diagnose common failure modes when test failures occur.Inspect and diagnose PC Boards to component level (for failure analysis)Work from work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to assemble electro- mechanical components.Coordinate with Engineering group for shared resources and test validationIdentify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical environment.Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Basic understanding of Ohm’s law and the relationship between resistance, current, and voltage.When an assembly fails resistance at in process or final test the employee should be capable of diagnosing and recommending fixing, where applicable, in most cases.Capable of measuring resistor components with multimeterAbility to perform ATP product testing using Labview programming interface and test racks.Knowledge of High and Low pressure test vessels and safety precautions when workingProper use of Mil-Spec oils and gassesBasic Electronics and Mechanical Theory in relation to PC Board troubleshooting#LI-SK1All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
