Job summary

TALENT Software Services in Hartford, CT is seeking an experienced QA/Test Engineer to strengthen our automation framework and ensure the quality of IT projects. You will create test use cases, run tests, and collaborate across teams to improve processes.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years testing IT projects, experience with XML standards, web services testing, SQL, and automation tools, and can contribute to DevOps integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology with exposure to programming in 3rd generation languages and knowledge of software design patterns.
• 5–7 years of experience as a tester for IT projects.
• Experience in NIEM XML or another complex XML Standard.
• Experience with testing web services manually using Soap UI/Postman.
• Working knowledge of IBM Rational Jazz Suite is a plus.
• Ability to understand the complexity of a large integrated system and trace problems to their source.
• Experience with SOA technologies and scripting complex SQL queries (Microsoft SQL server).
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other team members including Team Leader/Manager, Developers, Testers, Designers, and others.
• Proficient in core programming languages - C# or Java.
• Sound knowledge of automation reporting tools like Extent Reports and proven experience in data-driven automation testing.
• Sound knowledge of GitHub.
