Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Test Welder / Lab Technician to support welding of test assemblies for ESAB consumables used in ASME SEC III Nuclear and Navy orders. You will prepare setups, weld in all positions, and work with engineers to ensure weld quality and conformance.

The role involves operating lab equipment, performing material tests, and coordinating workflow with supervision while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 5–8 years welding experience.
• Excellent welding skills across MIG, TIG and stick in all positions.
• Experience with Oxy-fuel processes and welding metal testing specs.
• Strong math ability and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Welds test assemblies for qualification and conformance testing of ESAB consumables.
• Prepare machine setup, plates and weld specimens for tests.
• Weld in flat, vertical and overhead positions to evaluate properties.
• Collaborate with engineers to assess weld quality and conformance.
• Operate laboratory equipment and perform material tests.
• Schedule and ensure completion of assignments; adhere to safety policies.
