Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Fab 4 Test Wafer Process Engineer who will own test wafer recycle, build, and BWS processes in Boise, Idaho. You will lead efforts to improve wafer cleanliness, reuse, and inventory health while using data to reduce cost and boost fab efficiency.

You will collaborate with the Wafer Characterization Team and external suppliers to shape future product and process improvements, build predictive models and dashboards, and champion safety across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• Solid understanding of chemistry and wet processing.
• Experience pulling and analyzing complex process data sets with statistical methods.
• Proven ability to plan, drive, and complete projects across multiple departments on time.
• Ability to explain complex analysis to diverse audiences in a clear, actionable way.

Responsibilities

• Own test wafer (TW) recycle, build, and BWS processes. Develop, qualify, and sustain recycle and recovery solutions that improve wafer cleanliness, quality, and reuse.
• Manage TW inventory and utilization with statistical analysis, trend data, and the TD moves model so manufacturing and engineering always have the wafers they need.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and correct wafer processing and tool issues on Wet Bench and Spin Scrub toolsets. Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Review and process internal customer requests, change requests, and test wafer requirements.
• Work with Finance to set the TD wafer processing budget and report performance to plan. Cut costs through better reuse, recycling, and inventory strategies.
• Build reports, dashboards, automation, and predictive models, and use AI tools to boost team productivity and fab performance.
• Lead cross-functional projects with site and global teams, wafer suppliers, and the Wafer Characterization Team. Share best known methods (BKMs) and lessons learned locally and globally.
• Champion safety: complete required training, follow Micron and TD safety and environmental procedures, report concerns immediately, and submit good catches.
