The ISR Systems team is looking for a talented Test & Validation Engineer (P2), to support Integration & Test activities.

What You Will Do

  • Support mechanical, electrical assembly, and test.
  • Operate complex systems in lab and field environment.
  • 30% required travel, both domestic & international, to world-wide field sites to maintain electro-optical, infrared, and multi-spectral imaging sensors.
  • Working in a team with experienced individuals willing to assist in the individuals development.
  • This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in Westford, MA.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Experience analyzing test data (i.e. formulating test reports, determining hardware specifications, etc.).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience reading & interpreting schematic diagrams and technical descriptions of the systems.
  • Experience with avionic system maintenance.
  • Experience working in a team environment within the defense industry.
  • Experience using general and specialized test equipment to check-out and troubleshoot systems.
  • Experience with Linux / Unix software and/or programming languages.
  • Hands-on mechanical skillset.
  • Ability to adjust to changes in plans, design specifications, and/or unforeseen circumstances in dynamic engineering projects.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
