Job summary

KBR is seeking a Test & Validation Engineer to support the Space Systems Command program from El Segundo, CA. You will execute tests, validate integrations, and coordinate user acceptance testing with operators and stakeholders.

You will document defects, support release readiness, and help advance automation and continuous testing in a DoD, CI/CD environment. Strong communication and agile experience are essential.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret clearance required or ability to obtain.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, math, physics, or related field.
• 2+ years in software testing, QA, or validation.
• Experience with Agile development and test methodologies.
• Experience executing test cases and documenting results.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work effectively within Agile teams.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Test Execution – functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests.
• Integration Testing – develop, execute, and document validation tests.
• User Acceptance Testing – coordinate with operators and stakeholders.
• Defect Management – reproduce, track, and verify fixes.
• Test Documentation – create procedures, test cases, and reports.
• Release Readiness – support validation for software releases.
• Test Environment – coordinate environments and test data.
• Automation – assist in automated testing and continuous testing.
• Cross-team collaboration – work with developers, systems engineers, DevSecOps.
• Continuous improvement – improve test coverage and workflows.
