Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Test Tools Engineering Intern in Michigan to support the Tool development team. You will help document Test Tool Concepts, assist in defining concepts, develop test automation scripts, and support hardware procurement and tool setups.

You will gain hands-on experience in electronics and software topics, with a path to grow in test tool development processes and SVN-based documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field OR Recent Graduate.
• Technical level skills of Electronics and/or computer science topics.
• Desire to learn/acquire test tool development process skills
• Passion for new technologies

Responsibilities

• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the documentation of Test Tool Concept.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the definition of Test Tool Concept.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the development of test automation scripts
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in HW procurement process
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in Tool acceptance assessment
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in Set-Up of Tool Development stations
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in debug / troubleshooting of Tool Development stations
• Creates documentation of tools
• Back up documentation and test scripts following Valeo standards (SVN)
• Continuous identification of areas for improvement
• Seeking a current student or recent graduate to start as soon as possible and work on a year-round basis.

Nice To Have

• Any of the follow programing languages: Python, labview, Matab, C, C++
• Good understanding of basic computational concepts
• Understanding of Network, switches, TCP.
