Job summary

Valeo in the United States is offering a Test Tools Engineering Intern position within the System Development organization. The role focuses on supporting test tool development, documentation, and automation efforts for greener, safer mobility.

The internship targets current students or recent graduates with interests in electronics, CS, and tool development, and offers year-round engagement and exposure to Valeo’s engineering community.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or related degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or recent graduate.
• Technical level skills in electronics and/or computer science topics.
• Desire to learn test tool development process skills.
• Passion for new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the documentation of Test Tool Concept.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the definition of Test Tool Concept.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the development of test automation scripts.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in HW procurement process.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in Tool acceptance assessment.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in Set-Up of Tool Development stations.
• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in debug / troubleshooting of Tool Development stations.
• Create documentation of tools.
• Back up documentation and test scripts following Valeo standards (SVN).
• Continual identification of areas for improvement.

As a Test Tools Engineering Intern, you will:

• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the documentation of Test Tool Concept.




• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the definition of Test Tool Concept.




• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in the development of test automation scripts




• Support Test Tool Developer Engineers in HW procurement process

Seeking a current student or recent graduate to start as soon as possible and work on a year-round basis.

What You Should Have:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field OR Recent Graduate.




• Technical level skills of Electronics and/or computer science topics.




• Desire to learn/acquire test tool development process skills




• Passion for new technologies

Nice to Have:

• Any of the follow programing languages: Python, labview, Matab, C, C++




• Good understanding of basic computational concepts




• Understanding of Network, switches, TCP.
