Parker Aerospace in Simi Valley, CA seeks a Sr. Test Technician to perform acceptance tests on electro-mechanical assemblies, set up complex tests, record data and verify criteria per ATPs.
You will assemble subassemblies from blueprints, calibrate equipment, troubleshoot, train others, and coordinate with engineering to improve processes. A high school diploma with electronics coursework and 2+ years of test experience are required.

Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy spanets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.Sr. Test TechnicianSUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION WITHIN DEPARTMENT.Under minimum or no supervision will perform test functions per Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP’s) using meters, scopes and other general/special test equipment to validate the performance of the product. This will require the accurate recording of test data and verification of pass or reject criteria. Will make complex test set ups as required by procedures. Perform detailed and sometimes complicated troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems to determine cause. Some computer transactions are required for closing out work orders, entering Material Reject Reports (MRR), write formal failure analysis and be familiar with e-mail. Will conduct routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing. Provide training to other technicians and aid in troubleshooting with other departments. Redline incorrect procedures and coordinate with engineering to get corrected.ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE:Must be able to read and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language. Be able to read schematics and blueprints. Have knowledge of practical electronic theory and basic hand tools. Must have good eye/hand coordination. Some computer skills required such as data input, word documents etc. Possess good knowledge of electronic testing equipment and their operation. Ability to interpret and follow engineering prototype sketches. Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as, safety rules, operating and manufacturing instructions, and Company policies and procedures. Have the ability to clearly communicate with all internal and external customers in English. Attention to detail is a must.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High school graduate or equivalent required, along with some college or vocational courses in electronics. Prior job experience, 2 years minimum as test technician in similar field.INTERFACE: (Internal/External Customers)Will interface with co-workers, Manufacturing Engineers, Contracts, Management, Engineering and other production associates.
