Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Senior Test Technician to perform disassembly, assembly, re-work and testing of electrical/electronic equipment. The role emphasizes safe practices, accurate record-keeping and adherence to FAA and manufacturer data.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in electronics manufacturing/testing (prefer Aerospace), strong reading of schematics, and proven problem-solving abilities. Overtime may be required; home office support and training provided.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of electronics manufacturing/testing experience (prefer Aerospace).
  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot analog/digital circuitry to component level.

Responsibilities

  • Disassembly, assembly, re-work and testing of electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Maintain clean, safe and orderly workstation; follow safety policies.
  • Complete training and follow written/verbal instructions; work overtime as required.
  • Record work accurately in maintenance records; support area 6S improvements.
  • Coordinate with other departments and adhere to FAA-related guidelines.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
  • Maintain an acceptable safety record.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record
  • Willing to learn to test and troubleshoot various products as required.
  • Completes necessary training to maintain knowledge and skills required for job performance
  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Position requires overtime to production schedules and demands.
  • Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Self-monitor work progress against fast-paced area benchspans and achieve on time delivery of all work
  • Assist with area efficiency and 6S improvement projects
  • Assist other departments with job duties and tasks, as needed within the scope of expertise
  • Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by supervisor
  • Perform maintenance and alteration tasks in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ instructions for continued airworthiness, services bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
  • Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, with limited supervision.
  • Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.

Physical Requirements
  • Approximately 80 sitting and 20 standing/walking about in-door Company facilities.
  • Lift and Carry up to 45 lbs.
  • Use hand tools, and power tools.
  • Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side.
  • Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands.
  • Perform light lifting from floor, table and shelf.
  • Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded.
  • Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling.
  • Minimal: exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces
Qualifications Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certifications: N/A

Experience: 3-5 years work experience in an electronics Manufacturing/Testing environment (preferably Aerospace) or completed OJT training for at least 10 applicable products

Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, resourceful, and able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to read schematics and understand the circuit function.
  • Perform troubleshooting of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the component level
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in technical terms both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to set up and utilize manual and automated test equipment to conduct test and troubleshooting of digital and analog circuitry
  • Ability to program and operate environmental test chambers
  • Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Must be computer literate.
